Senior Project Engineer - Materials & Processes (Aerospace)

Location: Belfast, United Kingdom; occasional travel within the UK.

What you will do

• Manage materials and processes activity in a production environment.
• Lead production issues involving materials and processes technologies.
• Drive product improvements focused on cost and quality for parts and assemblies.
• Coordinate activities with Manufacturing Engineering and Materials & Processes teams.
• Provide material selection and technical support to Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality.
• Support future aircraft development programmes and industrialisation improvement projects while building stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

• Experience in materials and processes engineering, including knowledge of composite materials, metallic materials, assembly processes, composite repairs, or chemical and environmental technologies.
• BSc/BEng with at least 3 years of relevant experience, including management or project management responsibilities; alternatively, HNC/HND with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience technically supporting materials and processes qualifications and developments.
• Ability to support projects in an interdisciplinary environment across different levels of hierarchy.
• Demonstrated networking, technical leadership and problem-solving skills with internal or external partners.
• Successful applicants will be subject to BPSS and Export Control checks, including a criminal record check.
