Configuration Management Specialist (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Manage the engineering change process and configuration management/nomenclature pillar for the A220 Wing Configuration Management team.
• Secure stakeholder alignment and approvals, acting as the focal point for A220 program configuration management integration.
• Prioritize team activities, manage delivery risks, and coordinate with configuration management, program, and manufacturing teams.
• Check and approve wing-level and Tier 1 supplier deliverables.
• Develop and roll out configuration management procedures, corrective actions, preventive measures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor team members and support the configuration management manager when required.

Requirements

• BSc/BEng in a relevant discipline with at least 3 years of engineering experience, or HNC/HND with at least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience working with senior management, customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
• Ability to manage, motivate, and advise a team on specialist engineering issues in an environment of change.
• Project management experience and a proven record of delivering departmental solutions.
• Successful completion of BPSS and export control checks, including a criminal record check, is required.

Nice to have

• End-to-end configuration and technical engineering change management experience across the full lifecycle.
• Experience with aerospace tools such as Catia/Enovia, Optegra/PDM, MAXIM, CAPP, SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Project, Access, Planisware, or OpenText.
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills for cross-functional, multi-level audiences.
