Electrical Engineering Team Lead (Aerospace)

Location: Portsmouth, United Kingdom; mainly office based with hybrid working. Travel to other hirify.global and customer sites is required multiple times a year. Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance is required.

What you will do

• Lead and support a team of 10–15 Electrical Engineers, RF Test Systems Engineers, and Test Operations Support Engineers.
• Provide a stable production environment focused on on-time delivery, product integrity, and safety requirements.
• Review clean-room and production processes with affected departments and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Manage, allocate, and deploy payload test assets, including maintenance, calibration, and long-term industrial planning.
• Contribute to a significant production-facilities upgrade and represent the needs of the team and related departments.

Requirements

• Electrical engineering awareness in a manufacturing environment.
• Team leadership experience in manufacturing low-volume, highly complex products.
• Strong people-management skills focused on delivery and professional development.
• Practical experience applying quality, time, and cost principles.
• Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance.
• Availability for multiple trips per year to other hirify.global and customer sites.
