HVAC Controls Technician

Location: Arden Hills, Minnesota; field-based work at customer locations

Salary: $30.92–$58.59 per hour

What you will do

• Commission, program, configure graphics and communications links, test, troubleshoot, and service assigned HVAC controls projects.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and project closeout requirements.
• Diagnose and repair equipment and direct digital control systems at customer locations while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with team leaders and customers on installation and repair requirements, materials, and on-site scheduling.
• Maintain knowledge of Trane products, including installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Follow strict safety and asset-accountability procedures and remain flexible for overtime and occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 3–5 years of HVAC or controls experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience using handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work on-site at customer locations and comply with safety-sensitive role requirements, including possible additional drug screening.

Nice to have

• Technical school or formal technical training.
• Previous experience with DDC control systems.
