Building Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Denver, Colorado, US; must live within the designated radius of the job site.

Salary: $34–$38 per hour

What you will do

• Monitor, maintain, inspect, and repair commercial building systems, including HVAC/R, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, fire, life-safety, and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and emergency repairs to extend equipment life and maintain reliable operations.
• Maintain energy management programs and ensure building systems operate efficiently and within applicable standards.
• Review HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, and other building-system inspections against design and environmental requirements.
• Follow safety procedures, applicable codes, regulations, hazardous-material requirements, and client standards.
• Provide technical guidance and training to coworkers and coordinate work assignments when needed.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Must live within the designated radius of the job site.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least five years of building engineering or related experience focused on HVAC/R, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• EPA certification required.
• Ability to work on-call every two weeks and meet physical requirements, including climbing, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds or more.

Nice to have

• Experience with Building Management Systems or Building Automation Systems.
• Additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC/refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, process controls, or related disciplines.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and Microsoft Office skills.
