Senior Software Engineer - Tech 360

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States. Hybrid schedule with four days onsite at Seneca One Buffalo and one day working from home per week.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications for the Tech 360 Platform.
• Build and maintain REST APIs, responsive web applications, ETL solutions, and scalable databases.
• Lead cloud-native implementations using Kubernetes, containers, and microservices.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Define API and integration strategies and implement authorization and policy-driven access controls with architecture and security partners.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to Agile or SAFe planning, delivery, resilience, risk management, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree with at least 5 years of systems analysis or application development experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be accepted.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Angular or modern front-end development.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native development.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages and strong knowledge of software architecture, development practices, and SDLC methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience building executive-facing reporting, analytics, or dashboard solutions.
• Experience integrating APIs, databases, data warehouses, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Chart.js, D3.js, or equivalent data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, dimensional models, KPIs, metrics, and reporting frameworks.
• Experience building centralized reporting platforms or executive decision-support applications.
