Senior .NET Software Engineer (FinTech)

Location: Owings Mills, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to three days per week from home

Base salary: $121,000–$206,000 annually for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers; other location-based ranges may apply.

What you will do

• Lead software delivery across design, development, deployment, and production support.
• Build scalable cloud-native web applications for cash management, currency exposure hedging, foreign exchange trading, forecasting, reporting, and notifications.
• Design APIs, software abstractions, integrations with third-party vendors, and investment data warehouse services.
• Apply Agile engineering practices including continuous integration, code review, pairing, unit testing, refactoring, and technical debt management.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate priorities into technology solutions and lead small project teams when needed.
• Mentor junior engineers and use AI-powered development tools responsibly for coding, documentation, troubleshooting, and productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field, plus 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong experience with .NET and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Node.
• In-depth experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience designing APIs, cloud-native architectures, containerized microservices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software quality practices.
• Proficiency with Linux, scripting languages, design patterns, multiple programming paradigms, and debugging large-scale applications.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in fast-paced Agile environments, with demonstrated ability to use AI tools effectively and responsibly.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of full-stack development experience and experience delivering .NET Core applications.
• Experience deploying containerized applications to AWS, Azure, or similar cloud providers.
• FinTech technologies such as OpenFin, Finsemble, or Symphony.
• TDD, BDD, investment industry experience, or AWS Solutions Architect/Developer certification.
