Supervisor - Accounting Operations

Location: Urbandale, Iowa, United States

Salary: $40–$45 per hour

What you will do

• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10–12 accounting professionals.
• Set expectations and goals, assign work, and monitor team performance and productivity.
• Lead transaction-processing workflows and review work to maintain accuracy, timeliness, and control.
• Explain and reinforce accounting policies, practices, and procedures.
• Drive process improvements and resolve complex operational issues by assessing broader impacts.
• Support high-volume month-end close activities and collaborate with internal stakeholders and global teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience leading and coaching teams in accounting operations, finance operations, or transaction processing.
• Ability to assign and review work, manage priorities, and deliver weekly operational objectives.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and process-change implementation skills.
• Experience with controlled financial operations environments and process improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency in Teams and Excel; Workday experience is preferred, and Oracle experience is a plus.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Experience supporting teams in other countries.
• Experience with Workday and Oracle.
