Operational Model Excellence Manager (AI)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid

Base salary: €90,000–€150,000 per year for a full-time role, plus potential performance-based annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of the end-to-end Credit & Surety operating model.
• Translate business outcomes into target-state processes, service models, governance structures, and operating principles.
• Lead technology-enabled initiatives, including AI applications that improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Identify optimization opportunities, risks, and control gaps, then implement sustainable mitigation measures.
• Drive collaboration and alignment across underwriting, operations, finance, risk, technology, and regional teams.
• Track transformation outcomes and embed continuous improvement across the business.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in financial services, commercial insurance, reinsurance, or a similarly complex regulated environment.
• Relevant experience in credit insurance, surety, or commercial credit risk.
• 5+ years in transformation, operational excellence, or operational leadership.
• Strong program and project management skills, including complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Experience co-leading technology and AI implementations as a program manager, product owner, or business owner.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-enabled process transformation or digital operating model design.
• Management consulting or advisory experience in financial services.
• Experience embedding governance frameworks and controls in regulated environments.
