Mold Machine Operator (Manufacturing)

Location: Columbia, Pennsylvania, United States — onsite at the plant

Salary: $27.12–$29.62 per hour

What you will do

• Operate and monitor automatic metal or plastic molding, casting, and core-making machines.
• Set machine pressure, temperature, speed, feed rates, and cycle times using valves and dials.
• Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimensional defects using precision instruments.
• Move and position mold sections, patterns, and bottom boards with cranes or by coordinating movement with others.
• Assemble and separate mold sections, remove molded patterns, and extract finished products using hand tools and air hoses.
• Detect jams or malfunctions, make operational adjustments, and stamp identifying information on products when required.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and use both hands and feet for up to 10 hours per day.
• Constant awareness of the surrounding work environment.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift loads of up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work onsite at the Columbia, Pennsylvania plant.
