Night Shift Blow Molding Machine Operator

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; onsite night-shift position

Manufacturing company producing plastic containers and other hollow plastic products.

What you will do

• Set up and operate blow molding equipment, adjusting controls, temperatures, mandrels, mold chambers, heat, and pressure.
• Inspect and weigh finished products, document quality results, and record inspections in statistical process control software.
• Trim excess plastic, regrind off-specification material for reuse, perform light assembly, and pack finished pieces.
• Perform color changes, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance during the shift.
• Diagnose mechanical and process problems, troubleshoot logically, and communicate machine, process, and quality issues.
• Maintain safe machine operation in accordance with GMP, housekeeping, production efficiency, and scrap-control standards.

Requirements

• Ability to operate and adjust blow molding machinery and use hand tools, knives, and a bandsaw safely.
• Understanding of bottle quality requirements and related documentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues and perform minor machinery repairs.
• Ability to complete quality inspections and maintain accurate production records.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and managers and perform required job-related duties.
