CNC Machinist (Multiple Shifts) (Advanced Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Long Beach or Torrance, California, United States. An on-site skills demonstration of less than 60 minutes is required during the hiring process.

Salary: $45–$72 USD per hour, with level-based ranges from $45–$54 for Technician 3, $52–$63 for Technician 4, and $60–$73 for Technician 5.

What you will do

• Set up and operate advanced CNC equipment, including 3-axis, 3+2, and 5-axis mills.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and apply GD&T to produce precise components.
• Troubleshoot tool wear, fixture alignment, programming errors, and other machining challenges.
• Develop machining strategies, programming, tooling, and fixturing to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams on manufacturability and design improvements.
• Inspect components, maintain process documentation, and follow EHS and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Must be able to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
• Proficiency with Siemens and Heidenhain controllers.
• Strong understanding of GD&T in precision manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing machining processes.
• Experience creating and implementing dynamic work offsets for complex setups.
• Ability to complete an on-site technical skills demonstration of less than 60 minutes.

Nice to have

• Experience machining components produced through additive manufacturing.
• Familiarity with large gantry CNC systems and advanced machining technologies.
