Export Services Manager (Logistics)

Location: The Woodlands, Texas, United States; onsite role based out of The Woodlands

What you will do

• Manage export logistics personnel, processes, compliance, and workflows across North American operations.
• Coordinate inland, ocean, and air freight from vendors to warehouses or customers, ensuring safety and customer commitments.
• Lead the development of a cohesive export operations department within the Supply Chain organization.
• Manage carrier spot quotes, procurement initiatives, RFPs, and ocean network optimization.
• Serve as a key contact for sales and customers while building consistent customer satisfaction.
• Hire, train, coach, and lead colleagues while collaborating with sales, product, branch, transportation, and technology stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• 6–8 years of experience in global or international trade operations, including North American import or export responsibility.
• Experience with freight forwarding, customs brokerage, export trading, and customer-facing logistics operations.
• Knowledge of export compliance and transportation regulations, including DOT, IMO, IMDG, ITAR, EAR, DEA, EPA, and BIS.
• Strong leadership, coaching, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills required; the role is based in The Woodlands, Texas.

Nice to have

• Chemical industry experience.
• NCBFAA, IATA, or IMDG certifications.
• Project management experience and experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
• Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, or Mandarin in addition to English.
