Mainframe Network Software (Canada)

Location: Remote within Canada; candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship and must hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency due to Controlled Goods Program requirements.

Compensation: $61,600–$111,600 annually.

What you will do

• Administer IBM z/OS mainframe logical network resources, including VTAM definitions, TCP/IP reservations, APPLIDs, PU/LU resources, and NetView user access.
• Implement and maintain OSA interfaces, Enterprise Extender, secure Telnet and FTP, Policy Agent, AT-TLS, and TLS 1.2 connectivity.
• Perform NETMENU, CMCMAINT, JCL, batch processing, load library, and FIXLIB maintenance activities.
• Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain IBM and third-party mainframe products through SMP/E.
• Maintain IBM NetView, REXX automation, NETSSI, NWA1500, and mainframe session management tools.
• Handle incidents, changes, audits, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery exercises, z/OS upgrades, hardware refreshes, and rotating 24/7 on-call support.

Requirements

• Canadian citizenship or permanent residency is required under the Controlled Goods Program.
• Experience supporting IBM z/OS mainframe environments and enterprise network infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with VTAM, TCP/IP, IBM NetView, CDRSC, JES2, APPLIDs, PU/LU definitions, and mainframe network management.
• Experience with JCL, IBM utilities, batch jobs, procedures, load libraries, OSA, Enterprise Extender, SMP/E, and REXX.
• Knowledge of secure Telnet, FTP, Policy Agent, AT-TLS, TLS 1.2, ITIL processes, and software asset management.
• Ability to participate in rotating 24/7 on-call support; work authorization in Canada without sponsorship is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Enterprise or client-facing mainframe infrastructure experience.
• NetView security administration and mainframe session manager experience.
• Experience with audit findings, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery, upgrades, and hardware refreshes.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, communication, and independent collaboration skills.
