Plant Services Laborer/Instrumentation & Electrical Support

What you will do

• Maintain equipment controlling boilers, compressors, pumps, and other plant systems.
• Assist with cleaning, inspecting, testing, repairing, and calibrating electrical, electronic, and pneumatic control systems.
• Install and program electronic instruments, sensing elements, wiring, tubing, fittings, and control components.
• Test, analyze, and troubleshoot three-phase electrical power distribution circuits.
• Remove, install, clean, and repair motors, circuit breakers, transformers, and electrical switching equipment.
• Maintain diagrams, drawings, computerized controls, instruments, and programmable logic controllers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of electrician experience maintaining and repairing equipment in a central plant, power generation, or process plant, or equivalent trade school or Naval Electrician training.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety and Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
• Ability to read electrical, control, and instrumentation diagrams and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
• Experience with three-phase industrial electrical distribution systems or formal training.
• Valid driver's license, ability to pass physical, respirator fit, and drug screenings, and ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in industrial heat.

Nice to have

• Technical or trade school degree in electrical controls, electronics, computer science, or equivalent industry training and experience.
