Electrician (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at the plastic extrusion plant in Meridian, Idaho, USA

Salary: $64,500–$82,368 USD per year, plus an annual bonus or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, fixtures, and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot production equipment, control panels, PLCs, VFDs, and control circuits.
• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, drives, lighting, and power distribution systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support installations and repairs.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on equipment upgrades and installations.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or journeyman electrician license preferred.
• 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, control circuits, and electrical testing tools.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with national and local electrical codes, OSHA, NFPA, and other safety standards.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, lift, and work in hot, noisy, dusty, humid, and variable-temperature conditions.
