Electrician

Location: Millington, Maryland, United States; onsite production environment

Salary: $17.20–$31.90 per hour

What you will do

• Install switchgear and electrical components in custom-built metal equipment centers.
• Plan layouts and install wiring, electrical fixtures, switches, relays, and circuit breakers.
• Run conduit and install cable trays according to engineered designs and customer specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Perform electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Use hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and material-handling equipment safely.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 months of electrical-field or Electrical Helper experience.
• Experience with electrical systems, wiring, and control equipment.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, grinders, and saws.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds and work around noise, dust, heat, cold, confined spaces, heights, and moving machinery.
