Design Engineering Architect (DDR)

Location: Galway, Ireland; the posting also references Dublin. Travel: 10%.

What you will do

• Architect solutions for new DDR controller features and customer requirements.
• Design RTL in a highly configurable and automated environment.
• Develop high-speed circuits and low-power features.
• Collaborate with design verification, support, delivery, application engineering, and PHY design teams.
• Use design automation flows and IP development tools.
• Improve engineering quality, efficiency, and productivity through automation and refined development methods.

Requirements

• Degree in electrical or electronic engineering, microelectronics, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in microelectronics or the EDA industry.
• Essential experience with Verilog RTL design, metric-driven verification, lint, synthesis, and CDC analysis.
• Experience with SoC architecture and development.
• Experience leading technical teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AMBA protocols including CHI, AXI, AHB, and APB.
• SystemVerilog design experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 26262 quality processes.
