Electrical Design Engineer (Industrial Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid role based in Kilkenny, Ireland

What you will do

• Develop electrical designs for industrial and infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning.
• Produce electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, load calculations, equipment specifications, tender documentation, and construction packages.
• Design LV power distribution systems, motor control centres, control panels, and related electrical infrastructure.
• Support multidisciplinary project teams, design reviews, technical evaluations, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders and conduct site visits and surveys as required.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical standards, regulations, and client requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of electrical design experience in an industrial, infrastructure, utilities, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of LV electrical distribution systems and industrial installations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design software.
• Understanding of relevant electrical regulations and standards, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and hold a full driving licence.
