Senior Customer Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Leixlip, Ireland; onsite work in customer manufacturing facilities and clean rooms

Salary: €48,000–€66,000 per year

What you will do

• Install, maintain, qualify, and upgrade semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer facilities.
• Diagnose complex equipment issues using structured troubleshooting, digital analytics, diagnostic equipment, and root-cause analysis.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Lead technical activities during equipment installation, startup, qualification, and ramp phases.
• Support customer performance objectives related to equipment availability, productivity, and process stability.
• Build customer relationships, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior Customer Engineers.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, trade certification, or equivalent technical experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, capital equipment, advanced manufacturing, or equipment support.
• Technical aptitude in areas such as pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum systems, electronics, or thermodynamics.
• Experience with troubleshooting, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and digital multimeters.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for direct customer and cross-functional collaboration.
• Valid driver’s licence, ability to obtain a passport if required for business travel, and ability to meet site-specific safety, environmental, and customer compliance standards.
