Avionic Design Engineer (Avionics)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid working with two to three days per week on site

What you will do

• Produce EASA Part 21J design documentation within the scope of the approved Design Organisation.
• Prepare substantiation documents, compliance statements, checklists, engineering analyses, test plans, and test reports.
• Create engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, change bulletins, accomplishment instructions, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
• Support compliance demonstrations for electrical and avionic airworthiness and environmental protection requirements.
• Manage design change projects from initiation through completion.
• Collaborate with Compliance Verification Engineers and other engineering and project stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least three years of relevant experience with aircraft electrical or avionic systems.
• Practical understanding of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
• Experience producing, reviewing, or using technical engineering documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical and airworthiness requirements and manage design priorities accurately.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and independent working skills.
• Ability to work from the Dublin location on a hybrid basis, normally two to three days per week on site.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of relevant aircraft electrical or avionics experience.
• B1 or B2 aircraft maintenance licence, or experience aligned with B1 or B2 responsibilities.
• Experience in an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation and with avionic substantiation documents.
• Experience creating drawings, wiring diagrams, change bulletins, accomplishment instructions, and aircraft modification documentation.
• Experience working with Compliance Verification Engineers and managing aircraft design changes.
