Manufacturing/Process Engineering Manager (Life Sciences)

Location: On-site at the Clare, Ireland site in O'Callaghan Mills; travel of up to 10% may be required for equipment improvement projects.

What you will do

• Lead and develop Manufacturing Engineers supporting operations across multiple value streams.
• Manage performance against safety, quality, delivery, and productivity KPIs, including reviews and development plans.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to resolve manufacturing issues, minimize downtime, and maintain equipment uptime.
• Set technical standards and lead projects addressing complex process, equipment, and production issues.
• Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Evaluate and deploy advanced equipment and automation solutions while maintaining process controls and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a GMP environment.
• Proven experience delivering Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of filling, assembly, machining, fabrication, automation, labelling, and inspection processes.
• Strong team-building, coaching, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Clare, Ireland and travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with CAD, Minitab, JMP, PLCs, or SCADA.
• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
• Knowledge of AI integration with automation, ISO 13485, AS9100, IATF 16949, or project management.
