SDC (Support During Construction) Manager

Location: Onsite in Cork, Ireland, supporting a full-time, site-based pharmaceutical construction project in Denmark

What you will do

• Coordinate SDC planning, priorities, execution, control, and escalation across engineering disciplines.
• Act as the onsite interface between office-based design teams, construction teams, contractors, vendors, and the client.
• Route, coordinate, review, and track RFIs, submittals, contractor design, technical clarifications, and design completion activities.
• Coordinate site meetings, inspections, installation reviews, first-of-kind reviews, test witnessing, and other engineering support.
• Maintain auditable records, red-line mark-ups, work queues, turnaround times, resource usage, risks, and reporting.
• Prioritize construction-critical issues, challenge duplicate RFIs, and escalate significant design or interface matters.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of relevant experience with the technical strength to work effectively with contractors and address site issues.
• Strong knowledge of the project design basis, IFC design packages, discipline interfaces, and the agreed scope of services.
• Ability to plan and coordinate multidisciplinary resources while prioritizing competing construction demands.
• Strong communication, record-keeping, decision coordination, escalation, and commercial-awareness skills.
• Experience in engineering or design management during the EP/DD stage is preferred.
