Junior Software Platform Integration Engineer (Embedded Avionics)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid working model when possible.

What you will do

• Support software requirements, architecture, validation, and verification for safety-critical onboard computers.
• Assist with integration of RTOS board support packages, drivers, middleware, partitioning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Help maintain standardized APIs for platform support software and implement embedded services such as mathematical functions, file systems, and logging.
• Support RTCA DO-178C certification documentation and compliance evidence up to DAL-A.
• Perform technical benchmarking, rapid prototyping, board bring-up, and evaluation of new target platforms.

Requirements

• Foundational knowledge of C for real-time embedded systems and GNU toolchains such as GCC or Clang/LLVM.
• Knowledge of ARM, PowerPC, or x86 architectures, including memory management units, caches, and memory hierarchies.
• Basic knowledge of avionics buses and networks such as ARINC-429, CAN, or Ethernet, plus UART, SPI, I2C, and DMA.
• Academic, internship, or theoretical experience with safety-critical RTOS and ARINC-653.
• Basic awareness of RTCA DO-178C and ability to use Python for automation with JSON or XML data.
• English at B2 level or higher for technical documentation and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Embedded Linux.
• Familiarity with UML/SysML modeling tools.
• Exposure to static analysis or structural code coverage tools.
• Experience with Agile environments, Jira, and Confluence.
