Graduate AI Engineer (Banking)

Location: Hybrid work in Munich, Walldorf, Berlin, Germany; Belgrade, Serbia; or Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Remote-first flexibility is available with occasional travel for high-value interactions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered features for banking products.
• Contribute across the AI innovation lifecycle, from idea exploration and prototyping to production delivery.
• Develop AI applications using banking data and business processes to generate insights, automate tasks, and improve user experiences.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, solution experts, and customer-facing teams.
• Integrate AI capabilities with core banking platforms and SAP-based enterprise environments.
• Apply secure, scalable, and reliable AI development practices while taking ownership of development tasks.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Informatics, Business Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering.
• Interest in consulting for financial service providers.
• Understanding of approaches for integrating LLMs into enterprise solutions.
• Strong programming skills in one or more of Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or R.
• Initial cloud-native development experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI architectures.
