Senior FP&A Analyst (Fintech)

What you will do

• Support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and actual-versus-budget and actual-versus-forecast analysis.
• Prepare monthly, half-yearly and annual performance reporting, including Board-level Finance governance packs.
• Partner with departmental leaders, budget holders and Commercial and Finance stakeholders to improve accountability and support decisions.
• Build financial models, scenarios and sensitivities for business cases, investment decisions, transformation initiatives and optimisation opportunities.
• Monitor forward-looking trends across headcount, vendors, technology, professional services and operating expenditure, escalating material risks.
• Improve FP&A processes, reporting and planning tools while contributing to Finance-wide projects and ad hoc analysis.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of post-qualified experience, or 3+ years in FP&A, corporate finance or a related analytical finance role.
• Experience in Financial Services, Fintech or Banking, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA is essential.
• Demonstrable financial modelling capability with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience working with complex data sets, scenario analysis and translating data into clear recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder-management, communication and business-partnering skills, including confidence engaging senior non-finance audiences.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI-enabled finance tools such as Claude and ChatGPT.
• Experience improving workflow automation, analysis, reporting and planning processes with AI-enabled tools.
