Finance Analyst

What you will do

• Analyse performance and forecast variances to identify business drivers and improvement levers.
• Run ad hoc analysis for the CFO, FP&A, Financial Controller and wider Finance team.
• Own data inputs for financial performance reporting across dashboards, presentations and ad hoc analysis.
• Validate finance dashboards, test underlying logic and resolve data-definition questions such as P442 revenue.
• Act as the day-to-day Finance counterpart to the data team and translate finance questions into structured analysis plans.
• Use Excel, SQL and single-purpose agents to make repeatable analysis faster and more accurate.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in investment banking, modelling or data analysis at a Big Four firm, or a top-tier consultancy.
• Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL.
• Strong analytical judgement and the ability to turn ambiguous finance questions into correct, structured analysis.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to create outputs usable by non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work remotely from the United Kingdom.

• Exposure to energy, fintech or trading businesses.
• Experience with BI or dashboard tools.
• Experience working directly with a data team.
