What you will do

• Manage a patent portfolio, including filing decisions, deadlines, and alignment of cases with commercial goals.
• Draft and prosecute patent applications and coordinate with external patent counsel.
• Capture inventions proactively and assess invention disclosures.
• Develop and deliver IP communication, awareness, training, and educational events with key stakeholders.
• Collect and report data on patent matters and support routine and ad hoc IP activities.

Requirements

• Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the European Patent Office and the UK patent office.
• Experience in networks, AI, and software; experience using AI tools for patent drafting and prosecution is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of European and UK patent law.
• Degree in Engineering Science, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering; a PhD is preferred.
• Qualified European and UK patent attorney; candidates meeting finals standards may also be considered.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and communicate with technical, business, and legal stakeholders.
