Process Mining & Workflow Redesign Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid role in Garching, Bavaria, Germany; most office-based roles require onsite presence three days a week.

What you will do

• Define enterprise standards for process mining, workflow analysis, process documentation, and AI-native workflow design.
• Assess operational data to identify bottlenecks, process variations, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
• Establish process baselines, performance measures, and operational metrics for continuous improvement.
• Design future-state workflows, process architectures, value-stream maps, operating models, and workflow blueprints.
• Facilitate process redesign workshops and stakeholder reviews to align on future-state solutions.
• Partner with divisional AX teams to move approved opportunities into implementation backlogs and execution plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in process improvement, process mining, operational excellence, business transformation, or related disciplines.
• Strong expertise in process mining, workflow analysis, process architecture, value-stream mapping, and business process redesign.
• Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or operational excellence principles.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate operational data into actionable recommendations.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, facilitate stakeholder alignment, and drive organizational change.

Nice to have

• Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Process Mining, Business Process Management, Change Management, or related disciplines.
• Experience with Celonis, SAP Signavio, Microsoft Process Advisor, UiPath Process Mining, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting AI, automation, digital transformation, or enterprise modernization initiatives.
• Experience in global, matrixed organizations with complex operational processes.
