Workday Solution Expert – Finance (Workday)

Location: Heidelberg, Germany; hybrid working options are available depending on department protocols, with an office environment and occasional travel for training and meetings.

Salary: €4,147.92 or €4,713.20 per month after tax, depending on grade, excluding 12.99% personal pension and insurance contributions.

What you will do

• Translate Finance department needs into clear Workday product requirements and prioritise enhancements with department management.
• Act as the central interface between Finance business functions and the ERP implementation team.
• Manage product roadmaps, timelines, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement activities.
• Evaluate Workday releases and coordinate the adoption of relevant functionality.
• Maintain Workday Finance solutions after implementation and collaborate with external implementation partners and vendors.
• Provide training and support, document process and workflow changes, and maintain process maps, training materials, and desk instructions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in Finance systems, ERP implementation, business process improvement, or a similar role.
• Experience with Workday; experience with other ERP systems is advantageous.
• Experience in product management, project management, or process optimisation, including project management skills with Smartsheet.
• Strong business process analysis, process mapping, requirements gathering, documentation, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Fluency in spoken and written English, with the ability to work across an international, multicultural, and diverse environment.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Finance workstreams such as financial accounting and tax, budgets, banking and settlement, customer accounts, expenses, assets, projects and project billing, reporting, or timetracking.
• Experience working with Finance requirements related to project costing, payroll accounting, and financial reporting.
