Senior Manager, Strategic Projects (SaaS)

Location: Sydney, hybrid model with 3 days in-office.

Employment: Full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract with potential to extend.

What you will do

• Partner with the COO and Strategic Operations team to deliver high-priority, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution.
• Turn ambiguous business goals into project plans with milestones, owners, dependencies and success measures.
• Lead complex programmes end-to-end, aligning workstreams and managing critical paths, risks, issues and governance.
• Coordinate across Customer Success, Onboarding, Support, Partnerships, Product & Engineering, Finance & Billing, Legal and Revenue Operations.
• Analyse data, reconcile information across systems, investigate operational or commercial issues and assess downstream impacts on billing, reporting, customers and teams.
• Prepare executive updates, recommendations and decision materials while holding senior stakeholders accountable without formal authority.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in strategic projects, programme or project delivery, strategy and operations, consulting or a similar environment.
• Track record delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives in a high-growth technology, B2B SaaS or comparable business.
• Experience working independently with VP and C-level stakeholders while handling operational and technical detail.
• Strong project and programme management skills covering planning, critical paths, dependencies, risk management and governance.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems or short verbal briefs into structured, executable plans.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working hands-on with data, numbers and spreadsheets.
• Commercial understanding of pricing, contracts, revenue, margin or billing, with the ability to identify inconsistencies.
• Ability to understand how data, money, customers and processes move across teams and systems and identify downstream impacts.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including influencing and holding people accountable without formal authority.
• Highly organised, self-directed and pragmatic, with the ability to manage shifting priorities, tight timelines and high-stakes work.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering ecosystem or strategic partnership programmes, such as co-branded products, integrated workflows or joint go-to-market motions.
• Experience in hotel technology, hospitality, travel or a related industry.
• Previous consulting or corporate strategy experience.
• Experience in a global, distributed or high-growth SaaS environment.
• Formal project management training or certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile.
