Accounting Manager

Location: Office-based, 4 days per week at a hirify.global hub or satellite office in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, or Mexico. Remote work applies only to roles explicitly identified as remote; this role is not identified as remote.

What you will do

• Manage the global general ledger, chart of accounts, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Lead, mentor, and technically review the work of a growing accounting team.
• Prepare US GAAP financial statements, including cash flow statements, flux analysis, investor reporting, and board-level reporting.
• Design scalable intercompany frameworks, elimination logic, cost-sharing arrangements, and cost-allocation processes for future entities and acquisitions.
• Lead external audit preparation and execution, including workpapers, PBC lists, flowcharts, walkthroughs, and supporting evidence.
• Partner with Finance Systems, Technical Accounting, FP&A, Legal, People, and Operations on ERP configuration, automation, entity launches, data quality, tax compliance, and technical accounting projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in SaaS or technology companies.
• Deep proficiency in US GAAP and hands-on technical accounting experience, including cash flow preparation.
• Experience with financial close, global general ledger management, multi-entity accounting, and audit preparation and execution.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as NetSuite, Workday, or Rillet, plus advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and experience using AI tools to automate accounting work.
• Experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams, working independently, handling ambiguity, and communicating complex accounting topics clearly.
• Fluency in English is required. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA, CPC, or an international equivalent is preferred.

Nice to have

• Big Four accounting firm experience.
• Knowledge of Mexican statutory accounting and SAT compliance.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP.
