Film Finance Intern (Universal Pictures)

Location: 580 George Street, Level 32, Sydney, Australia; in-person work may be required for interviews.

hirify.global is a global media and entertainment company operating film, television, streaming, theme park, and consumer product businesses, including Universal Pictures.

What you will do

• Set up new vendors and customers in hirify.global support systems and enter vendor invoice details for payment requisitions.
• Prepare bank, general ledger, credit card, and business expense reconciliations.
• Prepare journals, cash receipts, manual payment entries, and month- and quarter-end accounting journals.
• Support audit activities from March to May and prepare monthly and quarterly BAS returns.
• Assist with marketing open purchase orders, intercompany recharges, third-party reporting, and forecasting.
• Coordinate with Australia, New Zealand, and accounts payable teams on finance administration for Universal film titles.

Requirements

• General understanding of and interest in finance.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently and enter data quickly and accurately.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and an organized, methodical approach.
• Ability to follow instructions while identifying process improvement opportunities.
• Must be enrolled in studies for the full duration of the internship.

Nice to have

• University degree or college diploma studies in accounting, commerce, or business.
