Senior Software Test Automation Engineer

Location: Australia — Mulgrave; remote work option available.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test frameworks and suites for desktop and enterprise software.
• Lead the automation strategy for ICP Expert and related product initiatives.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous quality assurance.
• Analyze requirements and technical designs to identify automation opportunities and quality risks.
• Investigate automation failures and test infrastructure issues while supporting release activities.
• Mentor team members and contribute to test planning, estimation, and technical decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, Python, Java, or a similar language.
• Experience developing automated test frameworks and performing UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with Git, Agile development environments, analytical problem-solving, and troubleshooting.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience testing desktop, enterprise, scientific, laboratory, analytical, or instrument-control software.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of performance, scalability, and reliability testing techniques.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing and modern software quality practices.
