Junior QA Engineer (Test Automation)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $75,000–$115,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Learn, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts with guidance from senior automation engineers.
• Create and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business requirements.
• Perform both manual validation and automated testing according to delivery timelines, feature complexity, and team priorities.
• Build technical testing knowledge across automation frameworks, scripting, CI/CD, and quality engineering practices.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment, including maintaining an active on-camera presence when expected.

Requirements

• Some technical experience in software testing, automation, scripting, development, or a related area, or a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technology field.
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and/or Agile delivery practices.
• Familiarity with test automation concepts and motivation to develop skills with automation tools and frameworks.
• Exposure to one or more programming or scripting languages, including JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Must be able to work remotely within the United States.
