Supervisor Materials

Location: Gaffney, South Carolina, US. Onsite position. Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States. Relocation assistance is not available.

Starting salary: $95,000–$121,000 USD per year, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Supervise materials and logistics activities supporting production, including shipping, receiving, storage, kitting, sequencing, delivery, expediting, and inventory control.
• Lead safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale, environmental, and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Manage materials scorecards, analyze performance metrics, and reduce parts shortages and production disruptions.
• Plan manpower, overtime, job balancing, and HPV performance while tracking time and absenteeism through Kronos.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Toyota Production System concepts to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
• Select, onboard, train, coach, and manage the performance of department employees while coordinating with carriers, logistics providers, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or supply chain management with 4 years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience leading teams in high-volume manufacturing or logistics.
• Experience with operations across production, quality, facilities, and materials.
• Demonstrated teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Project management experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Permanent US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship and applications from existing visa holders are not accepted.

Nice to have

• Experience leading materials, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations in manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Toyota Production System methodologies.
• Experience with Kronos, ERP, and inventory management systems.
• Experience leading operational improvement projects.
