3rd Shift Materials Group Lead-Area Based Off Need (Manufacturing)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA; onsite third-shift manufacturing role

Salary: $22.81–$26.93 per hour

What you will do

• Lead daily materials and production activities according to department needs, schedules, and assigned work.
• Identify and remove obstacles affecting operator standard work, contain production issues, and escalate disruptions quickly.
• Drive continuous improvement through structured problem-solving, root-cause analysis, 5S, visual management, and waste reduction.
• Run daily team meetings and coordinate with peer leads on performance, vacations, and call-ins.
• Train, coach, mentor, and cross-train operators in lean principles and the hirify.global Production System.
• Maintain a safe working environment and support improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Requirements

• Technical skills in business, quality, and/or manufacturing, with a fundamental understanding of manufacturing or backshop processes.
• Ability to solve problems, make decisions, plan work, balance multiple demands, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Experience or ability to work with timekeeping systems such as AS400 and Kronos, RF/barcoding technology, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use Visual Work Instructions and respond effectively to containment and quality-resolution events.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, push or pull up to 100 pounds, use air/power/vibrating tools, and stand or walk for the assigned shift.
