Commercial Credit Senior Analyst

What you will do

• Underwrite new commercial credit requests and material modifications from deal screening through approval and throughout the life of each loan.
• Monitor existing commercial loan portfolios through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, problem-loan management, and early-warning indicators.
• Review financial statements, tax returns, due diligence reports, appraisals, credit bureau data, industry research, and peer information.
• Prepare credit analyses, risk ratings, cash-flow and collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, financial models, and guarantor statement analyses.
• Partner with relationship managers, attend client and prospect calls, and present analysis during credit discussions and committee reviews.
• Ensure compliance with commercial credit policies, risk standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements while escalating material risk issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus at least two years of relevant commercial credit or financial analysis experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and credit-metric analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong customer-facing and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, or Bloomberg.
