Business Banking Scored Underwriter II

Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States; office workplace type. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Salary: $57,000–$113,000 annual base salary, with eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Underwrite and approve Business Banking loans up to $500,000.
• Review applications and analyze customer financial information to assess creditworthiness.
• Advise Business Bankers, Branch Managers, and Business Banking Specialists on loan structure and terms.
• Work with lenders to clarify credit requests, obtain information, and communicate credit decisions.
• Document loan decisions, risks, mitigants, and conditions to close.
• Maintain knowledge of lending policies and compliance standards while resolving business lending issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, or equivalent underwriting experience.
• 3–5 years of experience underwriting or analyzing business or commercial clients in a banking environment.
• Experience handling loans with moderate credit exposure and complexity.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to write concise, logical transaction documentation.
• Customer service focus, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
