Director (Data Center Finance)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA; Bellevue, WA; or Sunnyvale, CA, United States

Compensation: $235,000–$275,000 plus bonus and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Lead financial analytics and project costing across the data center construction portfolio.
• Develop cost taxonomies, benchmarks, forecasting methodologies, and performance reporting across project phases.
• Own estimate-at-completion processes and analyze committed, incurred, forecasted, and at-risk project spend.
• Analyze cost variances and root causes across scope, quantities, rates, schedules, design, procurement, productivity, and contingency use.
• Connect project cost, construction schedules, MW delivery, design decisions, capital planning, and cash forecasting.
• Build source-of-truth data structures and automate project cost reporting with Finance, Construction, Procurement, Project Controls, and Systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in construction finance, project controls, capital projects accounting, or project finance.
• Experience with large capital projects, including construction budgets, cost reporting, and draw processes, typically at $100M+ scale.
• Knowledge of construction loan agreements, draw and funding mechanics, lender requirements, GC/EPC contracts, change orders, and construction risk allocation.
• Experience managing operating budgets and cost performance for live facilities; data center or mission-critical infrastructure experience is preferred.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with experience managing multiple concurrent projects or sites.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, construction management, engineering, or a related field required.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in data center, energy, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure finance.
• MBA or CPA.
