Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site five days per week in Columbia, South Carolina, United States

Hourly base pay: $28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and repair manufacturing machinery, automated computerized controls, facilities equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Perform major electrical, mechanical, and construction repairs and installations using schematics and blueprints.
• Troubleshoot drive-related issues to component level on Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, and other controller systems.
• Determine root causes of equipment failures, document findings in the work order system, and recommend preventive actions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, coordinate with internal customers and external service representatives, and support equipment repairs and installations.
• Prepare sketches, bills of material, purchase requisitions, and safely move materials using plant handling equipment and lockout/tagout devices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical skills and basic electrical skills.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external associates and move throughout the work facility.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Safety-sensitive position; additional drug screening may be required.

Nice to have

• Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience with industrial machinery.
• Three or more years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
