Maintenance Technician (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: Riceville, Iowa, United States; onsite weekend shift

Salary: $20–$28.34 per hour, plus a $4 weekend-shift differential and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

McNeilus, an Oshkosh Company, designs and manufactures refuse truck bodies for waste collection fleets.

What you will do

• Maintain production equipment, industrial machinery, facility systems, and factory vehicles.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
• Repair or replace damaged components, equipment, and parts.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks safely and on schedule.
• Operate cranes, hoists, forklifts, tow motors, tractors, and other facility vehicles.
• Track work orders, enter maintenance data, report repair status, communicate with maintenance personnel, and assist with training.

Requirements

• At least six months of applicable experience or an evaluated equivalent.
• Forklift certification.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and technical documents.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and facility systems.
• Ability to perform physical work including standing, walking, climbing, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, and working around dust, temperature extremes, and loud noise.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Electromechanical Technology or an equivalent field.
• Non-licensed maintenance electrical license.
• Knowledge of welding, metal fabrication, or technical equipment.
