Maintenance Technician II (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Hodges, South Carolina, United States. Third shift runs Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM.

Salary: $28.12–$35.74 per hour, plus a $1.50 hourly night-shift premium.

Designs and manufactures large diesel and natural gas engines, engine components, and powertrains.

What you will do

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, production machines, and facility systems.
• Analyze equipment malfunctions, implement corrective repairs, and communicate equipment availability to supervisors and production.
• Record incidents and completed repairs in the CMMS.
• Coordinate on-site interventions with maintenance agents and external service companies.
• Find technical information, contact suppliers, and support the spare-parts storeroom.

Requirements

• Experience in a maintenance, mechanical, or electrical position, preferably in a heavy industrial environment.
• Knowledge and application of manufacturing safety practices, hazard identification, and regulatory safety requirements.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and repairs for pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, conveyor, HVAC, and fire systems.
• Ability to use manual, electrical, and pneumatic tools for repairs and diagnostics.
• Ability to work the required on-site third shift schedule in Hodges, South Carolina.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related program.
• Knowledge of 110–480 VAC and 0–36 VDC electrical systems, PLCs, controls, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and gas systems.
• Foundry experience, preferably in cast iron manufacturing.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, ACAD, E-drawing, QAD, or Llumin.
