Facade Engineer

Location: Based onsite at the hirify.global facility in Balbriggan, County Dublin, Ireland

What you will do

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed facade design solutions, calculations, and project submissions.
• Develop energy-efficient facade designs and coordinate facade principles with precast elements.
• Ensure designs comply with UK and Ireland Building Regulations, BS 8297, and CWCT guidance.
• Coordinate design interfaces with architects, consultants, engineers, contractors, and specialist subcontractors.
• Manage buildability and performance issues, maintain technical records, and attend sites to confirm installation.
• Provide construction-phase technical support, including responding to RFIs and resolving facade-related queries.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of industry experience, with strong facade design experience essential.
• Relevant degree in engineering, architecture, or construction.
• Experience with thermal and condensation analysis of facade designs.
• In-depth knowledge of construction, constructability, and applicable building regulations.
• Knowledge of BIM operating systems and standards, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and BIM tools.
• Strong planning, communication, client management, attention to detail, and independent working skills.
