Project Engineer (Engineering)

What you will do

• Support the delivery of facilities, engineering, maintenance, refurbishment, and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, progress tracking, and reporting.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers, consultants, service providers, internal departments, tenants, and event teams.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, tender documents, and contractor submissions.
• Support commissioning, handover, close-out, project records, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Promote site safety, participate in risk assessments and permit-to-work activities, and monitor compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, including Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Civil, or a related discipline.
• 0–3 years of experience in project engineering, facilities, construction, or an engineering environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience in facilities management, construction, infrastructure, or property environments.
• Understanding of project management methodologies and health and safety regulations.
• Experience with contractor management, MS Project, AutoCAD, or other project management software.
• Membership of, or progression toward membership of, Engineers Ireland.
