Senior Electrician (Biotech)

Location: Onsite in Thousand Oaks, California, United States. The role follows a 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule five days per week, with weekend, holiday, and occasional night support as required.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain electrical power generation, distribution, backup power, emergency power, and UPS systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on complex electrical equipment and systems across the ATO site.
• Identify equipment performance, workflow, and maintenance-program improvements and help implement solutions.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately in the Maximo computerized maintenance management system.
• Communicate work status, issues, and updates to system operators and key stakeholders.
• Perform all activities safely and in compliance with SOPs and cGMPs while supporting a professional work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED plus two years of electrical systems or maintenance experience, or an associate degree plus six months of related experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining industrial electrical generation and power distribution systems at 480/208/120 volts.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment, interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, collaborate with peers, and provide technical guidance.
• Ability to work onsite in Thousand Oaks and provide support outside normal hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• California Electrician Trainee certification, 720 or more hours of approved schooling, and 4,800–8,000 hours of documented on-the-job experience.
• Five or more years of electrical and utilities systems experience.
• NFPA 70E training and experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments and using Maximo.
