Electrician (Biotech)

Location: East Greenbush, New York, United States; onsite role. Sunday–Wednesday shift: 6:00am–4:30pm. Training shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Salary: $24.76–$44.42 per hour.

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems and emergency generator equipment.
• Maintain electrical distribution systems, one-line drawings, fuses, and circuit breakers in compliance with electrical codes.
• Install lighting, electrical wiring, and computer wiring when required.
• Coordinate outside service providers performing electrical work, preventive maintenance, generator servicing, and infrared scans.
• Support Mechanical Technicians with electrical issues affecting facility and process equipment.
• Develop and deliver annual employee training on electrical safety procedures and practices.

Requirements

• AAS in Engineering or Construction Technologies, or equivalent relevant Journeyman-level experience.
• Electrician II: 2+ years of experience; Electrician III: 5+ years of experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
• Proficiency with electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across the organization, and communicate effectively.
• Basic exposure to Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Availability for a rotational on-call schedule and occasional off-shift work supporting 24/7 coverage.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-voltage electrical systems.
