Scientific LIMS Business Analyst (Pharma)

Location: On-site in Tarrytown, New York, United States

Salary: $70–$75 per hour on a Corp-to-Corp contract

What you will do

• Partner with scientists and laboratory personnel to analyze clinical and preclinical research workflows.
• Gather, document, validate, and translate business, functional, and system requirements for LIMS solutions.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder interviews, documenting current-state and future-state workflows.
• Create user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, process flows, traceability documentation, and UAT scenarios.
• Support LIMS implementations and enhancements covering sample receipt, tracking, storage, inventory, processing, testing, results, and reporting.
• Coordinate with technical teams through design, development, testing, deployment, validation, and UAT.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst experience.
• 3+ years supporting LIMS in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, bioanalytical, clinical, preclinical, or R&D laboratory environments.
• Hands-on experience with requirements elicitation, workflow mapping, business-to-technology translation, traceability, and UAT planning.
• Knowledge of regulated laboratory environments, data integrity, validation, and GxP principles.
• Experience working directly with scientists, laboratory users, product owners, developers, architects, and other technology stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site in Tarrytown, NY and under a Corp-to-Corp engagement.

Nice to have

• Research IT or R&D Informatics experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
• Clinical or preclinical sample management, biobanking, or ELN experience.
• Experience with LIMS integrations, data flows, APIs, laboratory-system interfaces, or AWS-hosted environments.
• Knowledge of CSV, 21 CFR Part 11, and regulated system validation.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
