Senior Corporate Counsel, Intellectual Property Litigation (AI)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; hybrid, with 2 days per week in the San Mateo office

Base pay: $246,700–$370,100 USD per year, plus potential bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage high-stakes intellectual property litigation involving PlayStation video games and products.
• Work with outside counsel on litigation strategy and manage litigation budgets.
• Respond to subpoenas and requests for information, documents, and witness testimony.
• Advise leadership and business partners on litigation risks, pre-litigation disputes, and risk mitigation.
• Develop policies, procedures, playbooks, and legal guidelines.
• Partner with colleagues in the UK, Europe, and Asia and mentor attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Current good-standing membership in a U.S. state bar; California Bar membership is preferred.
• If not admitted in California, eligibility to obtain Registered In-House Counsel status in California promptly after hire and maintain it throughout employment.
• At least 12 years of in-house and/or outside counsel experience litigating intellectual property cases in federal and state courts, including at least 4 years at a law firm.
• Experience with complex patent litigation and advising business leaders on dispute resolution and legal risk.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, judgment, and integrity skills.
