Freelance Event Specialist (Events)

Location: On-site in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; candidates must already be based in Salt Lake City, UT

What you will do

• Prepare for events through virtual planning meetings with corporate, nonprofit, venue, and hirify.global partners.
• Own on-site event execution, including setup, team alignment, guest check-in, troubleshooting, and customer experience.
• Represent hirify.global as the on-site leader and coordinate roles across hosts, nonprofits, venues, staff, and corporate partners.
• Provide event updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team and escalate issues when needed.
• Break down event sites, clean work areas, repackage materials, apply shipping labels, and load boxes for return shipment.

Requirements

• Must already be based in Salt Lake City, UT; this is an in-person, on-location role.
• Fluent English and strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Experience managing complex large-scale events and smaller executive-level events.
• Resourceful, organized, detail-oriented, self-starting, and able to solve problems under pressure.
• Available for flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and able to travel around the local region.
• Able to lift, slide, and carry up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
